Sean Arayasirikul, MSPH, CHES - Program Chair
Sean Arayasirikul, MSPH, CHES has demonstrated his continual commitment to underserved communities throughout his diverse experience, ranging from direct care services, health promotion and disease prevention to capacity building, advocacy, community mobilization, research and education. Mr. Arayasirikul is on a constant search for novel approaches to connecting prevention, research and effective evaluation with underserved communities, while fostering these organic relationships with utmost sensitivity, care and continued reciprocity. With his background in Public Health, HIV/AIDS, and Queer, genderqueer and Asian American activism, Mr. Arayasirikul is a firm believer in sex-positivity, harm reduction and community empowerment. Mr. Arayasirikul has worked for Children's Hospital Los Angeles with newly diagnosed HIV+ youth of color, Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team, Whitman-Walker Clinic and the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Currently, Mr. Arayasirikul is a Research Associate at Georgetown University and the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) Health Literacy Fellow at the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP). He is eager to serve as APIC's Program Chair Elect.
